What northtype.studio records about visits, and why.
This page covers the northtype.studio website. Each NorthType app will have its own privacy policy, published here before it ships. Last updated 23 October 2026.
No cookies, ads or cross-site tracking
The site sets no cookies, runs no ads, and uses no third-party advertising or tracking scripts. There are no accounts and nothing to sign in to.
Page analytics
The site counts page views with its own first-party script. For each view it records the page path, the referring site and any campaign (UTM) tags, your country, a coarse device, browser and operating system derived from your request, and how long you stayed on the page and how far you scrolled.
To count unique visitors without a cookie, it stores a daily visitor hash: your IP address and browser combined with a random value that is generated each day and discarded within 48 hours. The IP address itself is never stored, and visits cannot be linked across days.
The server also logs each page request and feed request with the browser's user-agent string, your country and the response status, so we can see which pages are read by people, search engines and other software. No IP address is stored there either.
To stop your visits being counted, add ?count=off to any
page address. That sets one flag in your browser; ?count=on
clears it.
Fonts and hosting
Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google's servers. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which processes every request to serve the site and keeps its own operational logs. Google's and Cloudflare's privacy policies cover what they do with those requests.
Retention and contact
Analytics and logs are kept while they are useful for the purposes above and are pruned periodically. None of it is sold or shared. Questions go to support@northtype.studio.
